Stories in the Time of COVID-19
Writing helped me through the Covid pandemic. I was thrilled to work on this short commentary with Dr. Arno Kumagai for Academic Medicine. Arno is someone whose work I’d admired long before we became friends. He’s the ultimate physician, educator, philosopher while also one of the most humble people I know. We thought Covid was behind us or in our rearview mirror to stay when we wrote this.

Public Books 101 Podcast “Novels and Medicine” April 2021
It was such an honor to be part of the Public Books 101 podcast, especially alongside Dr. Rishi Goyal. We bantered about stories in the ER, the clinical importance of narrative, and of course, the wonderful novel, Never Let Me Go by Kazuo Ishiguro.
